Academic background
Dr. Perez received his medical degree at the Madre & Maestra Pontifical Catholic University in Santiago, Dominican Republic where he worked as a Teacher Assistant and subsequently as a Junior Faculty Member.
He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Wayne State University and is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Perez completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at Loma Linda University and is Board Certified in Adult Cardiovascular Medicine by the ABIM.
Additionally, Dr. Perez completed a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular Therapy at Wayne State University and is Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology by the ABIM.

He has additional Board Certifications in Nuclear Cardiology, Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography, Endovascular Medicine and Vascular Interpretation.
Dr. Perez is also a Fellow of The American College of Cardiology and Fellow of The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
His interest include Endovascular Therapy of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), Catheter-Based Interventions for Deep Venous Disease, and Acute Coronary Interventions.
